About Terry Bowser — Veteran, Master Life Coach, Tai Chi Instructor

If you found this page because you are a veteran looking for a life coach who actually understands what service means — what it costs, what it changes, and what it leaves behind — you are in the right place.

I am not a civilian with a coaching certificate who read some books about military culture. I am a United States Marine Corps Infantry and Force Recon veteran and Army veteran with nearly 13 years of combined service and on ground combat services during Operation Desert Shield/Storm and during Operation Iraqi Freedom as a squad leader. I came home carrying PTSD, Degenerative Disk Disease, Raynaud's Phenomenon, Tinnitus, Sleep Apnea, and high blood pressure just to name a few. Therefore, I know what a VA rating feels like. I know what a drawer full of prescriptions feels like.

I also know what it feels like to turn that around — naturally, deliberately, and completely.

That is why I built U Force Wellness. And that is who I am here to serve.

MY SERVICE — Where This All Starts

USMC ITS

I served as an Infantry Rifleman and a Force Recon operator in the United States Marine Corps before later continuing my service in the United States Army — nearly 13 years combined before medical issues forced me to separate. Service shaped how I think, how I move through difficulty, and how I show up for the people I am responsible for.  It also left scars. The kind that do not show on the outside but live in the nervous system, the joints, and the sleep patterns of anyone who has carried what we carry. I am not ashamed of those scars. They are part of my story — and part of why I can work with veterans in a way that requires no translation.

When I sit across from a veteran in a coaching session, I am not trying to understand their experience from the outside. I have my own version of it. That changes everything about the quality of the conversation.

MY TRANSFORMATION — The Living Proof

About a year ago I weighed 190 pounds and was managing multiple service-connected conditions with a list of prescription medications. My blood pressure required daily medication. My energy was low. My mental clarity was compromised. I was, as I sometimes describe it, managing my life rather than living it.

I made a decision to change — not dramatically, not all at once, but deliberately and consistently. I began walking daily. I started practicing Tai Chi, which my own physician had recommended for my service-connected conditions. I worked with Vital Health Global's plant-based supplements, made specific nutritional changes, and recommitted to the coaching work that has been at the center of my professional life for nearly two decades.

Over the following months, I lost 25 pounds. My mental clarity returned. And My doctor — reviewing my actual lab results and health data since my last visit, and with me adding Vital Health Global Supplements to my diet —  removed me from one of my blood pressure medications, and my D3 and B12, supplements the VA was sending me and told me to keep taking my V-Daily, and whatever other supplements I was taking from Vital Health Global.

My own Vital Health Global wellness scan flagged several areas that aligned with what my doctor was monitoring — which deepened my confidence in using it as a wellness awareness tool. I went from managing my conditions to actually healing from them.

That transformation is not my sales pitch. It is my proof of concept. I do not coach from theory. I coach from experience.

That was my doctor's clinical decision based on my specific health data — please consult your own physician before making any changes to your medications, or beginning any new movement practice, particularly if you are managing service-connected conditions.

WHAT I DO — And How It Differs From Other Options

Business 2

The search for veteran coaching support can be confusing. There are nonprofit programs, VA-backed services, transition-focused organizations, and individual coaches — all using similar language but offering very different things. Here is an honest breakdown:

Free and Nonprofit Veteran Coaching Programs
Organizations like Stand Beside Them and the Veterans Coaching Project offer free coaching for eligible veterans. These are legitimate, valuable services. If cost is a barrier, they are worth exploring. What they typically cannot offer is the depth,
continuity, and personal relationship of working long-term with one coach who
knows your whole story — and who has lived a version of it themselves.

VA Whole Health Coaching
The VA's Whole Health program offers health and wellbeing coaching tied to personal values and goals. This is a solid resource for veterans already engaged with the VA system. It operates within an institutional framework, which has both strengths and limitations. If you are working with VA Whole Health and want to complement that work with individual coaching, that conversation is absolutely
worth having.

Transition Coaching
Several organizations focus specifically on the military-to-civilian career transition. This is important work. My coaching addresses transition as one dimension of a larger picture — because for most veterans I work with, the challenge is not just finding a civilian career. It is finding a civilian identity, a sense of purpose, and a sustainable life that honors who they are and what they have been through.

What I Offer at U Force Wellness
I am a Certified Master Life Coach with nearly two decades of credentials, a
certified Tai Chi Instructor, an Accredited Alternative Healer and Soul Care
Provider, and a Spiritual Coach. I work at the intersection of purpose, natural
wellness, and practical life direction. My coaching is not limited to any one
dimension of your life — because no single dimension of your life is actually
separate from the others.

I work with veterans managing chronic conditions who want natural alternatives. I work with purpose-driven people searching for their Ikigai. I work with individuals who are ready to build a life — and sometimes a business — around what they are actually here to do.

My Credentials — What I Bring to This Work

Credentials

I believe in transparency about credentials. Here is exactly what I have earned, am earning,  and what each one means for the work we would do together:

• Certified Master Life Coach — Transformation Academy (January 2020) — Advanced coaching certification covering the full spectrum of life coaching methodologies
• Advanced Life Coaching Diploma — Advanced Life Coaching Institute (2010)
• Life Coaching Diploma — Advanced Life Coaching Institute (2007)
• Tai Chi Instructor Certification — Open the Door to Tai Chi / ACE, NASM, ACSM, FAI approved
(2026, in progress)
• Accredited Alternative Healer & Soul Care Provider (AAHSCP) — Place of Bliss Academy (2026)
• Spiritual Coach — Awakened Academy (2026, in progress)
• Certificate of Completion — Leading Digital Transformation in Health Care, Harvard Medical School Executive Education (April–June 2026, in progress)
• US Marine Corps Infantry/Recon | US Army — nearly 13 years combined service

What I Offer — And How to Get Started

I do not coach from theory. I coach from experience. Every credential I hold, every practice I teach — I have lived it myself. That is the difference.

My Biz

I work with three groups of people:

Veterans Managing Chronic Conditions
If you are navigating service-connected disabilities, prescription dependency, PTSD, or the general physical and mental weight of post-service life — and you are looking for a coach who has been there and found a different way forward — this work is for you. I do not replace your medical team. I work alongside your health management to address the dimensions of your life that a prescription cannot
reach.

Purpose-Driven People Searching for Their Ikigai
IIf you feel the pull of something more — a nagging sense that your daily life and your actual purpose are not fully aligned — and you are ready to do the honest work of finding your Ikigai, I can guide that process. This is some of the most meaningful coaching I do.

Wellness Explorers Ready for Natural Alternatives
If you are curious about Tai Chi, holistic wellness, plant-based nutrition, or what an Alternative Healer and Soul Care Provider can offer that your current health approach has not — I welcome that conversation. I am not here to tell you what you should do. I am here to share what I have learned and let you decide what serves you.

READY TO TALK? — Your Next Step

If anything on this page has resonated — if you recognize yourself in any of the people I described, if you are tired of managing and ready to start living — I would like to hear from you.

I offer a free 15-minute wellness consultation. No pitch, no pressure, no agenda beyond a genuine conversation about where you are and what might be possible. If we are a good fit to work together, we will know it by the end of that call. If not, I will point you toward resources that serve you better.

That is the kind of coach I am.
